EZ-Net Internet Claims
Freedom Data Services (FDS) serves as a central clearing house for the submission and processing of online transactions with EZ-Net™ Internet claims. FDS provides the following services.
The Process
FDS provides the ability to transmit the data identified by the Payor - in a pre-approved format - to a Payor, online and real-time via high speed data communications leased lines or Internet transfer. This provides the Payor data for the purpose of claim adjudication and authorization.
FDS receives from the Payor, within prescribed performance parameters, approval or rejection of the data and associated authorization information or error codes, all in formats reasonably acceptable to FDS. FDS then transmits this information to the Subscriber.
Transaction Data Routing means and consists of the Subscriber submitting third party data to FDS, in National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) format and content unless otherwise indicated by FDS with respect to payors for which this service has been announced by FDS to be available in Subscriber's state.
FDS routes this to the Payor. The Payor makes claim payments.
Unless otherwise specifically stated, data routing services do not include phone line service or any other communications equipment or charges in connection therein.
